We are the typical family with "too many TV's" but right now the oldest is getting to the point of being more responsible and we were thinking of a TV in the bedroom. I noticed 19" Class (18.5" Diagonal) LCD TV with a semi decent price, and mind you we do not need anything fancy, but at the same time the kiddo does deserve a good "big present" this year. The size works, the price is tolerable but I am wondering if there is something better I could be looking at without over spoiling this kid?

Its been chosen this year we are going out and getting the JVC and I am sure the look come Christmas morning will be great (its been on the "list of goodies" for a while now. For the parents though, we are looking at replacing the TV in the living area so our hunt will take longer I am sure. On that note, is it worth larger purchases (since this would be more for everyone, not just a teen) to wait until after the holidays to purchase?

I think the 19" tvs are perfect for any bedroom of course unless the room is huge you may want something bigger. I suggest investing in the equipment to hang it on the wall if the room is small. We are waiting for Black Friday and then going to do some electronics shopping because Walmart is supposed to have some awesome stuff this year.

Have you thought about trying Black Friday sales? What sort of size tv are you looking for for you and your spouse? There must be some great deals out there that you could get. I think it just boils down to watching the prices.
