Does anyone have one of these?
I have had one for the last 2 years as a replacement for having a radio or portable cd player in the kitchen and have been extremely pleased with it every since.
I have always seen bose products as very high quality and something that alot of people aspire to have but doubted the difference that could be made from such a small simple system. With only one cable for the power and a very simple remote it is hardly the most complicated peices of kit and expected the simplicity to be justified by the quality. Personally i love systems with amplifiers showing, loads of buttons and nobs to play around with the sound levels etc and have always assoiciated quality with this.
The volume generated from the system is not huge, as you would expect from such a small system, but the quality more than makes up for this. I dont have any experience with listening to other similar systems from other manufactures so i cannot compare how it matches up to any of its competition, but it far exceeds my expectations for such a system.
I know i could be writing complete rubbish here because i dont have any experience of similar products, so is there anything better within the price range? Does the bose wave seem as good to you as it does to me?

I suppose that is right about more ipod based systems. I hadnt really contemplated having a ipod speaker system in place of a portable sterio system that i normally use. It is frustrating that cd's are still needed to listen to music espeically since alot less people purchase cds and i am even less inclined to burn cds with music purhcased from the internet.
The radio reception on the bose wave is supprisingly good, especially considering there is no antenna needed and has no problem when it is moved anywhere around the house even.

I heard a Wave system once briefly, and I thought it sounded good but I was expecting a bit more of a "wow factor" than I experienced personally.
Looking back I think it may have been kind of obscured by furniture in a fairly large room.
Could iPods play WAV files or others that weren't as compressed as MP3s?
