Great finished product. How long did it take?

Thanks Phil. The theater took me about 3 months, not including design, with most of the time spent on the trim.

That's tons faster than I did in my basement. Granted, it was not the main system and I have stonework in the bar area and I did a good part of the framing and finishing myself (and I do work slow) but between getting people to do things I didn't do like sheetrock, plumbing and most of the electrical, it did probably take me almost 4 years from start to finish. Probably three of those years was the design (which took me probably a few months to work out with existing poles, duct work, plumbing rough in, heater, etc.), framing and duct work and the last year was largely electrical and finishing.

Very solid work, well done!

Will you post the gear that you've put in or will be putting in?

The HT setup was really cool, great job in your setup. I can only wish that I can have my own basement for my HT. I will keep dreaming until the day will come that I will show my own HT here. :D

By the way, if dlp won't mind, how much is the cost of the renovation?

I would love to do something like this but I'm afraid of the costs. I dread any kind of new bill that we might face. Very nice looking though!

You must have posted high quality images. :) I got a hard time opening the images but it was worth it. That's really a great job, congrats. Three months is not a long time for such a work. I may need a year to complete it.

It looks fantastic. Great job. And a really short timeline for everything you've managed to accomplish. Did you do all the work yourself or did you have helpers along the way? Are you ready to start on mine now? LOL
